Photopreneurs is a Social Business developed with the vision of creating photo entrepreneurs and citizen journalists focusing on solving unemployment problem. The logo of photopreneurs was unveiled at 154th Social Business Design Lab by Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus. Many globally recognized social business leaders including Lamiya Morshed, Executive Director of Yunus Centre and MFM Amir Khasru, General Manager of Yunus Centre were present during the ceremony. Professor Muhammad Yunus said that Photopreneurs is that kind of initiative which can bring changes in our society, create job opportunities and can be a platform for future photo journalists and an inspiration to the others.
Photopreneurs is created for the beginners; aspiring photographers who want to learn more or improve their skill and become professional photographers. Their School of Photography will provide the best class course materials, with well-equipped technological tools. Photopreneurs aim to provide professional teachers who will guide the students to achieve their own personal goals through photography. Photography competition and exhibitions will be held where attractive prizes such as camera equipments will be given to the winners.
Photopreneurs is co-founded by Shazeeb M Khairul Islam, founder of Social Business Youth Alliance Global and Prito Reza who is a photo journalist and a pioneer of the wedding photography industry in Bangladesh. Both of them were greatly inspired by the work of Noble Peace Laureate Muhammad Yunus and the concept of Social Business that strive to solve social problems in a sustainable way.
